Jaya started Planet Eco Corp with a single mission: to reduce plastic waste and the harmful effects of microplastics to us, our environment and our sea-life & wildlife.

She grew up in an Indian household where nothing was thrown away without a second use. Clothing was passed down and repurposed, newspapers became wrapping and lining, takeout containers lived a second life in the kitchen/wardrobe.

While she built her career over the past 12 years in investment banking and financial services across Singapore and Europe, her sustainable practices had a working system and way of life. She learned how sustainable practice works at scale, and ESG stopped being a reporting requirement in boardrooms and at home.

Moving to Houston brought a different kind of scrutiny. After years in places where composting and reusables were normal, she was struck by how much single-use plastic passes through an ordinary American day, and by how few compostable alternatives were genuinely available, affordable or honestly certified.

Planet Eco Corp exists to close that gap. Every product is certified and PFAS-free, sourced from vetted manufacturers and priced so that switching away from plastic is a practical business decision, not a compromise.

Her hope is that Americans and the generations after them inherit less plastic than we live with today.
